  1. Mass: 4.868 10^24 x KG Size: 12104 km in diameter (95% the size of Earth) Average Surface Temp: 467 degrees Celsius Venus By: Taylor Patten Teacher: Mr. Jones Period of Rotation: 243 days (5832.5hrs) Period of Revolution: 224.7 days (18.3 Days shorter then a day) Angle of Axis Rotation: 177 Degrees

  2. Atmospheric Composition: 97% Carbon Dioxide 3.5% Nitrogen Geological Composition: Very similar to Earth’s Earth’s twin in many ways. Distance from sun: Max- 109 km Min- 107.4 Av.- 108.2 Number of Moons: Venus has no moons, not even a captured asteroid Conjunction: Superior and inferior both occur2004 was the last one is expected in 2012

  3. Gravity: 90% of Earth’s (100lbs on Earth = 90 lbs on Venus) Magnetic Field: Highly debated. No 100% evidence of a Earth Sized magnetosphere Orbital Eccentricity: 0.0068 (almost circular) Orbits Paths Obliquity: Is chaotic 177.4 Degrees (higher then any other planet) Precession: Venus Rotates much slower then any other planets, thus its precession period isn’t actually known
