  2. Only ever plane wood WITH the grain!

  3. Do not plane boards shorter than 12”.

  4. Check for and remove knots, glue, and metal fasteners before using the Planer.

  5. Do not allow your fingers to contact the Infeed Table.

  6. Never look into a Planer while it is in operation!

  7. Maximum cut depth = 1/16”!

  8. A Planer only makes surfaces flat, not necessarily parallel.

  9. Measure you work at its THICKEST point before setting the Planer. Set to 1/16” less than that number.

  10. Material stuck? Give it a shove. Still stuck? Turn off and wait till the machine stops completely before removal.
