  5. The story starts in Italy prior to its Unification, with Don Nicola De Cecco producing the “best flour of the surrounding countryside” in his stone mill in Fara San Martino, a small village at the bottom of the Maiella mountain range. http://www.dececcousa.com/

  6. Throughout the world, the ViniPallaviciniare connected with the Frascativariety of wine. This ancient wine, born in the Roman hills, has been called "the wine of popes." While the popes drank Frascati daily, the people would only drink it on important Vatican occasions. It is said that during the papal elections of Innocent X (1644) and of Clement X (1670), Frascati spouted from the fountains, the marble nostrils of Marcus Aurelius's horse and the lions of the Capitol to the delight and amusement of the people. Citizens rushed out with bottles and cups to capture the wine and enjoy it fully. http://www.vinipallavicini.com
