Summary • Don’t do or allow dumb things to happen • Plan your activities • Document and provide quality control • Preserve topsoil • Develop dewatering protocols • Keep the site clean • Know that it will rain • Defend the exits • Defend stockpiles • Stabilize the points of discharge • Stabilize the exposed soils • Build traps • Use chemicals in conjunction with other BMPs
