  3. History • World War I is a major part of English history. • The war started in 1914 and ended in 1918 • British troops fought in France and Belguim • In 1918 (The end of the war) Lloyd George gave rights to women, so that they could vote in Parliament

  4. Geography • England is bordered by Scotland in the North and Wales to the West. • London is the most popular city in England • The total area of England is 129,720km wide. • The highest temperature recorded in England is 38.5C

  5. Sports • England has a strong sporting heritage • The most famous sports originated in England are Rounders, Cricket, Boxing and Darts • The well known football league, FIFA, was made in England • Manchester Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool are the most known teams from England

  6. Food • The well known foods from England are Muffins, Apple pie, Cake and Cheddar Cheese • English cuisine started in the early 1200’s • A full English breakfast includes bacon, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, toast and sausages
