  6. 6,700 Ha fertile Cotton Fields of Bazhou Taichang Farm • Located in Xiaotang area, Yuli County, Koler City, Xinjiang, upstream of Tarim river • Irrigation resource: snow melted water from Altun mountains • Advantage for cotton farming: fertile soil, good temperature and long time sunshine, long non-frost period, less wind, no rainstorm, no mining industry and pollution • Surroundings: natural populus forest, thousands hectare licorice root

Introduction of Bazhou TaiChang Farm • Till now the total investment has been RMB 280 millions • With large agricultural modernization production conditions • Contracting System Management: To distribute water and power rationally to protect benefits of farmers • Humanized Management: The rent collection rule of October is made each year in August based on the real growth of cotton, which put “Farmers’ interests first” and “Farm’s interests follow ” • Be able to offer jobs: 5,500 longterm workers and temporary workers • Corporate annual profits reach to 450 millions

  9. Introduction of Bazhou TaiChang Farm • Planting area of Better Cotton is 4,100 Ha and the average annual yield is 5,550 Kg/Ha • Annual seeds cotton production is 22,843 tons and lint cotton is 9,200 tons

  10. 2. The achievement since joining BCI Ⅰ Pest Control and Health Protection • Strictly control the use range of pesticides • Supervise self-protection of peasants during crop-spraying

The achievement since joining BCI ⅡDecent Work • Farm invested 12 millions in repairing and improving living conditions, such as housing, lavatory and road • The original average monthly wage range was RMB1800-2000, and now is RMB 2500-3000 • Having improved treatment to cotton pickers, pay travel expenses for inland pickers • Having invested RMB100,000 to have access to clean and safe tap water from Lun nan Town • The learning consciousness and planting level of farmers and workers have been improved. Relationship among farmers and workers, between farmers, workers and farm are close. They pay attention to the development prospect of farm.

  24. Milestone of BCI Project in Taichang 6、Begun with picking up and processing Better Cotton in Sep 2013 with 22,200 tons of seeds cotton and 8,900 tons of lint cotton.

BCI Project Planning of Taichang Business Fully achieve 44 Better Cotton criteria at the end of 2015. • The Planting area will reach 85,000 Ha in 2015, and the annual yield is expected to 5850 Kg/Ha, total seeds cotton 50,000 tons and lint cotton 20,000 tons • The cotton planting area in Tajikistan is expected to about 13,000 Ha in the second half of 2014. And, Taichang planning to build a ginning mill will 3 production, spinning mill and fabric mill, it will be a integrated cotton large-scale value chain • Jinhui Logistic Ltd is a certificated state reserve warehouse by CNCRC which initiated by local farmer and hold by Taichang, meanwhile, they are the delivery warehouse of CNCE. Jinhui have 400,000MT storage capacity.
