Dangers of Binge Drinking • Binge drinking leads to high-risk activities: • Injury or death due to falls, drowning, or drunk driving. • Doing stupid things (diving off a house into a pool). • Pregnancy or contraction of STI’s due to poor sexual decisions. • Being a victim or predator of violent behavior (fights, rapes, etc). • Death from alcohol poisoning.   5. Signs of EA poisoning • extreme confusion • inability to be awakened • vomiting • seizures • slow or irregular breathing • low body temperature • bluish or pale skin If you think someone has alcohol poisoning, call 911 immediately. Created by Nicole Thompson, Health educator, April 2012

  6. Death by EA Poisoning • Hypothermia leading to cardiac arrest • Choke on vomit • Breathing slows, becomes irregular, and finally stops • Even if the victim lives, all of the above can lead to irreversible brain damage Created by Nicole Thompson, Health educator, April 2012
