  3. Fellowships Program for US Nationals USIEF AWARDS: STUDENT CATEGORY A. Fulbright-Nehru Student Research Duration nine months For recent university graduates, Postgraduate candidates, Ph. D. candidates developing professionals and artists Meant for study or research B. Fulbright-Nehru English Teaching Assistantships Duration nine months For graduating seniors, recent graduates or Master’s students who demonstrate a high level of the initiative to teach English at the secondary level Meant to assist in teaching of English at secondary level in an Indian school To apply, visit http://us.fulbrightonline.org
  4. Fellowships Program for US Nationals USIEF AWARDS: DISTINGUISHED CHAIR, LECTURER AND SENIOR RESEARCH CATEGORY A. Fulbright-Nehru Distinguished Chair Duration four months For full professor having a prominent record of scholarly accomplishment and substantial teaching experience (all disciplines).  Faculty to tutor graduate students, deliver guest lectures and seminars, and lead one conference B. Fulbright-Nehru Visiting Lecturer Fellowship Duration four to six months For university faculty to teach courses in their field Faculty to tutor undergraduate and postgraduate students C. Fulbright-Nehru Senior Research Fellowship Duration four to nine months For university faculty to conduct research in their field Faculty Serial grants also available under this category D. Fulbright-Nehru Teaching and Research Fellowship Duration four to nine months For practicing professionals and Ph.D.s of any academic rank Non-academics with recent Ph.D.s with a minimum of three years teaching experience E. Fulbright-Nehru Environment Leadership Program Duration four to nine months Conduct research in any of a broad range of environmental studies fields including environmental education; environmental sciences; environmental policy, regulations and law. Fellowships Program for US Nationals UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AWARDS Fulbright-Hays Faculty Research Abroad (FRA) Program Duration three to twelve months For faculty to conduct research in modern foreign languages and area studies Purpose is to conduct research to improve study in these areas in the U.S. Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad (DDRA) Program Duration six to twelve months For graduate students admitted to candidacy in a doctoral degree program Subjects valid for this program are foreign languages or area studies Purpose is to conduct research to improve study in these areas in the U.S. For details, visit www.ed.gov

Fulbright-Hays Seminars Abroad Program Duration five weeks For educators, educational administrators, librarians, museum educators, and media specialists Seminars designed to integrate international studies into an institution’s curriculum B.
