The triple point of water is 273.16 K, and the kelvin (degree) is defined to be 1/273.16 of the temperature of the triple point. The Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin Scales: T = TC + 273.15 TF = 9/5 TC + 32 DT = DTc = 5/9 DTF Thermal expansion of solids and liquids: Coefficient of linear expansion: a Coefficient of volume expansion: b = 3a
