  2. When a new trader starts trading in Indian stock market he hears a lot about Singapore Nifty from different YouTube channels, websites and blogs. Why it is called SGX Nifty? Singapore Nifty is famously known as SGX Nifty. Indian stock market index is Nifty and derivative of Nifty index Nifty future is listed on Singapore exchange. It is officially listed and traded in Singapore exchange. So it is called Singapore Nifty or popularly known as SGX Nifty. Foreign investor can take position in Nifty index through SGX Nifty so it is highly liquid. Indian market opens for 6 and half an hour but SGX Nifty Future opens for sixteen hour (watch opening and closing time).
