Deep meaning associated with Maang Tikka • It is said that according to Vedas, the forehead of humans is the place of Ajna Chakra, the place where wisdom resides, it is also called the third eye. • Maang tikka is placed exactly in the middle position of the woman’s forehead. • The literal meaning of ‘maang’ is the middle part of the forehead and ‘tikka’ means the ornament that is worn by the women between their foreheads. • There is the significance of wearing the maang tikka that it represents the ability of women to control their emotions and helps to increase the power of concentration.
