VPE – Passive safety engineer Vehicle Performance Engineering • Our Team: • The SafetyTeam is part of Vehicle PerformanceEngineering Division. • We are responsible for development of passive safety performances for European vehicles, benchmarking of • technologies and competitors performances for occupant protection to check trends and propose new ideas • and solutions, support from technical/engineering point of view our lobbing group for future assessment • criteria. • Your Challenge: • Support our benchmark and performance check activity • Organise the different data available (from tests, benchmarks) to allow fast analysis and comparison (this for the different area our group overlooks: front and side crash, child safety, pedestrian safety, whiplash) • From data analysis highlight key trends and factors to be used for judgement and phenomena explanation (focus in detail on one area: whiplash) • Integrate existing analysis tool (sw) or create new to estimate effect of factor variation over performance (ultimate goal is translate overall performance target to single component/parts targets) to deal with conflicting requirements • Your Assets: • Open minded and curious with strong engineering skills • Interested in working in a truly multicultural team • Language: fluent English is a must • PC knowledge (Microsoft Office), Macro, visualbasic and CATIA knowledge is a plus • Cars enthusiastic Place of Employment: Toyota Motor Europe Technical Centre, Zaventem
