  1. Procurement Training Forumsby Val BurrJanuary 9, 2008

Goals • To establish a ‘required’ monthly one hour procurement forum for the entire GSFC procurement community; • To have the forum be a procurement learning tool, as well as a means to disseminate information regarding policy, information systems, employee awards/recognitions or other announcements; • To offer Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) for attending the meetings.

  3. Meeting Structure • Recur each month, specifically, the second Wednesday of each month • Hosting responsibility will rotate to each office • P.O.D. will be responsible every other month, or as needed • One hour agenda will include: • an update/greeting from the Procurement Officer; • one or more brief topics presented by an employee, a Manager; or a guest speaker • any of the following: general news, policy updates, FAR changes, PSST information, employee awards/recognitions, new employee introductions, PIP updates, guest speakers, etc. • Video Conferencing for WFF and IV&V

  4. Topic Ideas • Weaknesses from Headquarters procurement survey; • FAR updates (from → to); • Data call to community for relevant topics; • Any other ‘hot topics’. • PICs and PINs In general, the idea is to get together, as a community, to learn from each other, and to get to know the people who you work with and who are here to help you.
