It is used in the production of resins, adhesives, and coatings.   Chemical intermediate: MVK is used as a chemical intermediate in the synthesis of a variety of other chemicals, such as ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA), acrylates, and methacrylates. It is used in the production of pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and cosmetics.   Solvent: MVK is used as a solvent for a variety of organic compounds, such as vinyl acetate, ethylene dichloride, and tetrahydrofuran.
