Fascism ultimately becomes a term to describe governments that follow: •  a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism,  regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and  often racism (Hitler adds this attribute). Anti-democratic and anti-constitutional.

Lenin’s take on Marxism • Human leadership more than historical laws would bring about the moment of revolution • Only violent revolution would destroy capitalism, denounced a peaceful evolution • A proletariat is necessary but peasants can be used if a last resort…which in Russia it’s all last resort! The rest of Europe where communism will soon spread can be the capitalist phase. • An elite worker’s party is necessary to keep the revolution going in the long-term.

Huge blow to economy without the taxes so had to overturn • Redistribution of all food, workers get most • Extraordinary Revolutionary Tax: if someone has something you don’t, take it
