  2. Did you know?? • The Upper Dublin School District Administration Building is becoming a part of history!

  3. What are they getting?? • The Upper Dublin School District Administration Building is receiving a Pennsylvania Historical Marker—huge deal!!

  4. Why are they getting it?? • Upper Dublin has a history that dates back to 1701 • The Administration Building and associated Friends Meeting House have been around since 1793 • During this time, these buildings operated as a branch of the Underground Railroad!

  5. What you will do: • Read the summary from “The Historical Marker Nomination Form” • On the paper provided, write what YOU think the Historical Marker (placed for ALL to see right on Fort Washington Avenue!) should say to commemorate the history of these buildings • Your Historical Marker should reflect the history and importance of these buildings • Your Historical Marker should be inclusive of details yet concise • Your Historical Marker should be easy to read and understand • Your Historical Marker may include pictures or symbols
