  3. Executive Leadership • Acting President Joseph Hoffman • SUNY Maritime • Faculty • Administrator experience • May 13-16 Visit • Welcome Reception, May 14, 3-5pm Roos House • June 1 Start Date

  4. Budget Update • New budget model for FY2013-14 has been tabled. • Anticipated 4.2% budget cut (approx $265,000) to State Support – SUNY will be redirecting those funds to help with the situation at SUNY Downstate. • Anticipated State Budget to be flat coming into FY2013-14 (approximately $22.7 million)

  5. Capital Updates • No new construction funds for FY2013-14 Summer Projects: • Ceiling in Chaney Dining Facility – removal/replacement of ceiling and asbestos abatement. • Pedestrian access, lighting, public safety issues surrounding the CARC. • Complete renovation on Building 18 (old University Police Building) – funded through NYSERDA Rebates received from the CARC construction.

  6. Personnel Changes • Molly Mott, Dean of Online Initiatives and Academic Support Services (with CARC and Athletic Oversight) • Ryan Deuel, Director of Media Relations, SLU • Karen Spellacy, Interim Provost, continued. • Courtney Bish, Increased leadership in Student Affairs Division • Travis Smith, Increased leadership in PR • Mike Newtown, Interim Dean, continued.

  7. Upcoming Challenges • Budget • Open SUNY • Enrollment • Placement/Retention • Overall changes—leadership, five day class schedule, new hires, etc.
