Instructional Priorities Where We Are • Approx. 47% of students tested on CST are scoring at levels below proficient in ELA (2008) • Approx. 53% of Socioeconomically disadvantaged students tested on CST are scoring at levels below proficient in ELA (2008) • Goals: increase achievement in ELA and close the achievement gap in all subgroups • Focus on ELA
