  2. Rachel and Jaeson Duncan • Place: Kaiser, MissouriPalace Estates Trailer ParkWhen: Monday evening5 other siblings that were not present at the time of the shooting. He called grandma before calling the police

  3. Rachael & Jaeson Duncan

  4. Rachel Duncan, 35 years old, generous and loving. • Jaeson Duncan 31 years old (boys step dad) was hardworking and strict. “He was probably a little heavy handed, but I never saw any bruises,” Rowden said. • They had 6 kids. • They were Christians.

  5. No Picture found (14 years old)

  6. 12 year old Missouri boy. • He was Christian. • McKinnon, a neighbor described the suspect as "a pretty good kid. At least I thought he was." • Neighbors said the 12-year-old suspect is a nice boy and well liked around the neighborhood. They said he mowed some of the neighbors’ yards, and loved playing with his dogs. • "He took pride in his dogs you know he liked his dogs, he liked showing his dogs off and stuff like that and he was real interested in possibly getting a motorcycle," Garner said.

  7. Impact on family of the victim Victims family had said that the parents, Rachel and Jaesonwere not abusive parent even though they had reports of abuse in 2006 and 2008. They had five other children that were not in the home at the time of the shooting. Austin’s grandmother said that she received a call from him right after he killed them and then later called the police to the scene. No one in there family would have excepted something like this to happen.

  8. Impact on the family of the offender The offenders family is surprise in what he had done. They thought there was no reason for I'm to do what he did. They believed that there was no abuse done at home.

  9. Austin Pinion was sent to juvenile hall by the police after they arrived to the house because he confessed to what he had done. He was not treated as an adult. He is still in there until he turns 21. Judge Kehneth Hayden decided not to certify the 13 year old. He was concerned of the 13 year olds background and education. He took into account the child’s record, environment situation, and the viciousness of the crime.

  10. where IS THE OFFENDER NOW? • The Division of Youth Services are continuing treatment up until the boy’s 18th birthday. • He has four more years in juvenile custody

  11. Is the trial just? • I believe that the trial is just because they didn’t charge him as a adult. We believe that he should have consoling and therapy and shouldn’t be tried as a adult at all because what if his actions were for his own protection do to what he said in being abused at home.
