  3. Movie nights National Coming Out Day Classroom Seminars Awareness Day Variety Show (formerly Drag Show) Fall semester campaign Fall 2007 Events

  4. Movie Night • Builds unity and awareness • Entertaining and good reason to gather • Discussion after will be educational, informative and thought provoking • In previous years members and other students have enjoyed this event • Inviting Princeton campus, TCNJ, Princeton U, etc.; great interconnections for our members

  5. National Coming Out Day • National event to promote and celebrate who we are and the idea of “coming out” • There will also be education about if you need help coming out, where to go, what it’s like to lead a gay life, etc. • Very important to the GSA community • More information at www.hrc.org

  6. Classroom Seminar • Attend the Gender/Race/Sexuality classes to educate and promote tolerance • Bringing educational materials and resources to classrooms from GLSEN, GMHC, HRC, and GLAAD • Great response this past semester

  7. Awareness Day • Campus wide event • Giveaways and educational materials to recruit more members and spread the information of what our organization does

  8. Variety Show • Great turn out and experience this year; WCC performances as well • Recruit talent and students to perform in the show that raises money for charitable organization • University event that also educates about LGBT issues • Plan to increase attendance

  9. Fall semester campaign • Huge promotional campaign on both campuses to increase member attendance and awareness • Plan on educating about our organization and increasing our member base from both campuses and ranging through all grades

  10. Annual Dance Social National Day of Silence Night of Noise Oscars Night Classroom seminars Gaypril Year-end celebration and awards Spring 2008 Events

  11. Annual Dance Social • One of our new initiatives • Great way to celebrate and have a fun night • Expected attendance of 200+ • We will look for co-sponsorships as well • Princeton campus and local colleges will attend as well

  12. National Day of Silence • National event • T-shirts create unity on the campus and are a great advertising item • Guest speaker to promote the reason of Day of Silence and education about why there is a Day of Silence • Cards, flyers, and stickers • More information at www.dayofsilence.org

  13. Night of Noise • Event following Day of Silence • Candle vigil on campus in the past; this year Rutgers co-sponsorship on College Ave. campus • Guest speaker • Great for debriefing of the day’s event • Time for the club and campus to come together to remember those who have been murdered or harassed for breaking the silence for us

  14. Oscars Night • Great turn out this year • Club members enjoyed watching the awards in the SRC and the contests • Non-members attended as well after working out in the SRC

Gaypril • Adopted from Rutgers • Will plan more and have even more events and publicity next year • Developing event/program • Month of various activities and events: • HIV/AIDS testing • Condoms • Celebration • T-shirts, handouts, food, events on different days • Guest speakers • Lots of communication with Princeton campus and hopefully holding events there • History of others who have come out

  17. Year end celebration • Party, celebration and rewards for our members • Great way to celebrate our year and accomplishments • Members look forward to this event • Rewards for loyal members and involved members in the club
