  3. Shipping department A successfully and competitive company as cares about the convenience and accessibility of their customers. This big company has implemented a new method of buying in a more comfortable way for the customer with the shipping process.

  4. Past • Few years ago did not have shipping service in any store. • The frequent suggest of their customers asking for e-commerce and also for phone order made think to Sam Walton in this service.

  5. Present • has improved the shipping department with orders made by phone and by internet. • By phone, the orders are made directly to the inventory and check the availability. The payment methods could be only by creidt card.

  6. With the help of the information technology, the internet has also become an important system of buying. • The process by internet is much more easier than the phone ordering process. The order is taken automatically and send the order to the inventory to see the availavility, then the products are shipped thru the door of the customers.

  7. The methods of payment by internet are only by credit card. • The orders are shipped by priority and express mail and take from 3 to 5 business days. The shipping have different tariffs depending of the amount and the size of the product.

  8. Nowadays is shipping their products only in the US and Canada. • Also have some conditions for shipping like restrictions in hazardous materials and firearms.

  9. Future • would like to play an important role in globalization by offering their products around the word by the e-commerce.

  10. Conclusion • as a competitive company is always improving and caring for the convenience of their customers, and is the case with the shipping department that track the orders to the customer door.
