  2. ANNEXATION OVERVIEW WHY DOES ACC PROMOTE ANNEXATION? • Board Policy A-5 encourages out-of-district communities to join as in-district tax payers • Expand resources of ACCD to allow it to meet increased local demands • To address “Closing the Gaps” state initiative

ANNEXATION OVERVIEW WHY DO COMMUNITIES CONSIDER ANNEXATION? • Lower In-District Tuition - $39 per credit hour • Higher Out-of-District Tuition - $102 per credit hour • Increase Opportunities for ISD Grads • Free Early College Start Classes • Expanded Course Offerings • i.e. Promote Access and Affordability • Support Economic Development Activities • Expanded Student Services • Possible Facilities • Center (Day, Evening or Both) • Campuses

Enrollment History/Trends • How many from the area attend ACC campuses? • How many from the area attend the local center? • Caldwell County Numbers Are Low (But Growing) • See Attachment A (Handout) Demographic Projections • Census Data • THECB Data (Murdock Demographics) • Envision Central Texas, etc. • ACC Master Plan calls for future campuses in Hays, Bastrop, Williamson Counties • Caldwell County Numbers Are Low (But Growing) • See Attachment B
