WELCOME DSFG-FOR THE SECTOR BY THE SECTOR • Context to DSFG- who we are and our goal- share information, promote best practices, provide analysis and information to OASIS as well as CLO to help them with their advocacy • meet 4 times a year- September, December, March, June • OBRC- context, linkage and support • Thank you- CH for providing space and VC- at no cost • Costs to participants- Voluntary contribution by agency of $100/year • Planning Group- Brian Culter, Brian Sim-Little, Wendy Larman, • Logistical support- Liliana (CLT), Charles (CH) • Resource Group Ken (IT) ,Wendy (CICA, Thomas (Tax matters), April (small business), Rose (admin issues), Casey (Information,), David (Projects)

  7. DSFG MEETING FUND • Started April 2012 • Proposed amount $100 to cover 4 meetings a year • Objective is to cover costs not covered by the $500/meeting donated by OBRC and Pay for technical sessions where speakers charge fees

  8. DSFG MEETING FUNDDAVID BAKER SESSION • fees 8181 • transport 472 • Total 8653 • collected 3735 (subsidized fees) • balance 5948 paid from DSFG

DSFG MEETING FUNDANNUAL REPORT2012-13 REVENUE collected $11,480 PAYMENTS • catering YTD $1,579 • David baker $8,653 BALANCE $1,248 • Catering projected $250 BALANCE year end $998 • Positive balance because of those agencies that contributed to cover the deficit created due to David baker session • Normally it would be time to request contributions of $100 for 2013-14 (some have already contributed) but in view of the fact we would need about $1000 for 4 meetings in 2013-14 to top up $2000 ($500 per meeting contribution from OBRC), we may not need contributions for 2013-14) • Comments?

UPDATES OBRC • Last met on March 21st 2013 • Major work involves reviewing recent developments to provide constructive feedback to MCSS about changes to budget package, changes to regulations, changes in detail codes, etc. which have a significant cost or tracking impact on agencies (all without additional resources and in an environment of austerity) • Feedback from DSFG on such issues allows for balanced view to take to MCSS to advocate for positive change for the sector • Need a representative from the North- for 4 meetings a year- all expenses covered by OASIS for representatives RESOURCE GROUP………
