  3. What it is: Software Upgrade Project 2002 • Implemented TAMU Jobs Online System for staff postings 2012 • Planning for 2013 software upgrade for postings, positions and performance

Improvements for all Updated user interface Use of the BACK button • Browser error • No back button • Outdated interface • Approver confusion Approver Inbox and Watch List More detailed search options Spell check feature Ability to view details of last edits Create posting from position description Performance evaluations for all departments

  5. Updated System = New Name For applicants: JobPATH For internal users: PATH: Portal Access for Total HR Postings. Positions. Performance.

  6. Customer Impact: Applicants • Many improvements to system for job seekers • New user account and application will be required • Messages to be added to applicant page • Transition dates and information communicated broadly

  7. Customer Impact: Employees • More user-friendly for infrequent users • Some terminology changes to learn: • ”Certify PD” becomes “Review PD” • Non-faculty performance evaluation transitioned to online • Access to view and update user profile

  8. Customer Impact: Supervisors • Expanded functionality with applicant information • Inbox and watch list features easier to understand • PD updates will show changes made by employee or other approvers • Non-faculty performance evaluation transitioned to online

Performance Evaluations • Revised online form for non-faculty employees includes ratings applied to duties • Rating definitions improved • All A&M departments transitioned online • Expanded ability to use “attachments only” option • Evaluation period April through May • Stay tuned for additional online information and communications!

  10. Customer Impact: HR Liaisons • Ability to specify user role by adloc • Enhanced search and export capabilities • Approver workflow updated • Easier process for adding to all PDs CHANGE

  12. Coming Soon: Testing! • Expect test site to be available in December for postings and position descriptions • Testing scripted scenarios for: • HR Liaisons • Hiring Supervisors • Employees • Applicants

  13. Considerations for Rollout Stage • Rollout date(s) to be determined • Targeting February 2013 • Transition and cutoff dates • User role confirmation • Other System Members • Frequent updates • Demos and training

  14. Communications & Training • Link on HR website with updates • Presentations to campus groups and other stakeholders • Liaison Network News (LNN) messages • Email blasts to employees announcing upcoming changes • Watch for announcements— • Read them and share them!

  15. Final Thoughts • The TAMU Jobs Online System is significantly changing in early 2013. • HR needs you to be our partner in the project. • Be alert for all communications, including testing and training opportunities.
