Home School Message Book • Goes home every day • Your child’s reading book is • entered in here • Please comment on your child’s reading • Please sign so we know you have seen it • Sometimes there will be no comment from us • Write your messages to us in this book • Send it in the book bag everyday

  6. Homework Activities • Reading Books: • Remember to read each afternoon for 10-15 minutes. Ask your child some questions about their book. • Sometimes your child is asked to take the same book home again. Please take this opportunity to develop vocabulary or practice skills such retelling stories. • Sound Books: • Please spend a few minutes looking through the sound books with your child. Constant reviewing will help you child develop a secure knowledge of their sounds at a greater rate. This will really help improve reading and writing skills. • Other Activities: • Once a week we may send home an activity that will relate directly to a maths or literacy focus that we have covered through the week.
