A Taxonomy of Musical Genres (Pachet, Cazaly/Sony) • Typical ontology situation: Not starting from zero, but already lots of approaches in use (Amazon, AMG, MP3) • Meta-ontology often undef., what is the meaning/semantics of a link • Genres/MetaGenres division seems mainly application driven (Presentation on web pages) • The papers design section seems to ask many of the „right questions“ (methodology!).
