  1. Welcome to our study of God’s word and God’s work today

  2. March theme: “We’re on the Road To Greatness” Greatness is the Goal

  3. April’s theme: Hey Christian, What’s Your Mission?

  4. This month’s theme: “God Is Still Working”

  5. TODAY’S FOCUS: “GOD’S WORK IN US”

  6. Ephesians 2:8-10… 8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

  7. He’s Still Working On Me! my heart, my mind, my actions, my future

  8. Ephesians 2:1-3 WHO WE WERE… ”As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.  3All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. ”

  9. Ephesians 2:4-7…Who We Are 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

  10. The problem is when who we were gets in the way of who we are! We are better off under God’s will, but our will fights against that. This causes counter workings at the same time!

  11. Romans 7:21-25 says… 21So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

  12. The solution… John 3:30 “He must become greater; I must become less.”

  13. WHO WE ARE BECOMING… PHILIPPIANS 2:12-13 … “12Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.”

  14. To God, we always have much to learn no matter how much we know or experience.

  15. What has God’s work done in you and for you?

  16. TODAY’S FOCUS: “GOD’S WORK IN US”
