[This Link will take users to Screen B described below] Comment from PP – “Add a teacher prep field within state see list of all programs for out of country select out of country selection candidates would select. Four out of state select state from drop down list of all states.” This conflicts with statements in the VL renewal Doc. “If the educator does not work in a New Mexico School or District, he/she cannot use this on-line system to renew”, then how can someone from out of state be working for a NM school district? How should these conflicting statements be rectified?

  6. Screen A – Step 1 in the System If a user clicks on the first link on the warning page they are taken to the following screen: [Page Content] Welcome “Teachers Name” to the New Mexico Same Level Licensure System Congratulations, You have successfully registered to use the New Mexico Same Level Licensure System (NMSLL). This is the online system you are required to use to renew an individual license or multiple license(s) at the same level through the Public Education Department. You may begin this immediately if your license(s) is/are due to expire as this process is ongoing. You are required to complete each step before you can proceed to the next. Therefore, we strongly suggest that you complete Step 1 as soon as possible. Updating your profile is essential to receiving your license in a timely manner. Step 2 must be completed before you can continue to the next step. Complete steps 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 in order as you progress through this process. This way, if you have any technical troubles, need to make corrections or to work with our Help Desk staff, you can do so at that step. Payment must be processed before your license will be issued. Typically, your license will be issued within 6 weeks after your renewal licensure request is completed. Using this online system is an X step process. You will need to complete in the following order Login/Register -> Select Licenses to Renew -> Payment Review -> Submit Payment -> Payment Confirmation Comment from PP – “Only the following licenses can be renewed through this system. Level 2, 3, 3A, 3B. If any other that type of information comes up in step 2. There is a message that states you can you can not use this system to obtrain licensure. Please follow this link to obtain the paper applications.

  7. Step 2 – Review your Current Standard License (s) Once a user clicks on next [?] on Step 1 Screen they are presented with the following screen in which they can select the current license (s) that they want to renew. Only current licenses will be available for renewal. If a license is expired it will be listed, but will not have a box available to check for renewal. [Page Content] “Teachers Name” Please review your current, standard license (s) information and expiration. Type of license Endorsements Expiration Dates Which ones would you like to renew? EX: K-8 Elementary Social Studies June 30, 2007  7-12 Secondary TESOL June 30, 2008  K-12 TESOL June 30, 2008  Please note you may renew all unexpired licenses for a single fee of at this time. This would allow you to keep all your licenses on the same schedule. Comment from PP – “When the educator enters all of the data and clicks a submit button, he/she should see a list of his/her current, standard licenses with expiration dates next to them.” PED will need to provide all licenses expiration dates.

  8. Step 3 – Payment Preview Once a user has selected the licenses they wish to renew they be taken to a screen that shows their total renewal payment, based on the license (s) they have selected. They system will automatically calculate this figure and display it on the screen. [Page Content] Based on the licenses you selected to renew you will need to make payment of $X.XX Of this would be based on the selection of license. [Please define this content, not understood by vl] All licenses with the exception of the following four types are $35.00 the four exceptions are $25.00 501 7-12 ATHLETIC COACH 502 K-12 EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANT 503 K-12 SUBSTITUTE TEACHER 704 SCHOOL HEALTH ASSISTANT Proceed to step 4 to submit payment Comment from PP – “The candidate may renew multiple licenses for one fee. If the candidate is renewing a $25 license or licenses and a $15 license or licenses, he/she pays the higher of the two fees only. “ This contradicts the fees stated in the VL renewal document. Which fee structure is accurate?

  9. Step 4 – Submit Payment Users will be taken through the same payment process already used in the NMPDD Site. Once the user has successfully completed the payment process they will receive the following message: Congratulations you have now completed your portion of the SLL Renewal process. So that your employer can complete the remaining portion of the application. YOUR license cannot be issued until your employer completes this process.
