  2. What does my animal look like? Garter snakes can be yellow, green, and orange. They have scales all over their body. They grow to 2 feet long. Some grow to 4 feet long. At birth they are 7.5-9 inches long. They have no ears or tails.

  3. What does my animal eat? The Garter snake is a carnivore so it eats Insects, Earthworms, Frogs, Toads, Salamanders, and it eats mice when it is older.

  4. Where does my animal live? Garter snakes live in wet meadows and damp forests in the U.S.A. and all over the world.

  5. What adaptations does it have to help it survive?

  6. Here are some amazing facts: • Garter snakes can release a smelly, bad tasting fluid, called musk. • Male Garter snakes watch for female Garter snakes who may want to mate.
