  1. After tuning the Delay Time and final set point, the embossing tool was used to heat the resistor in the filter. During heating, the following (worse) result was obtained, further demonstrating the advantages of control over programmatic operation.

  2. Cantilever Beam The cantilever beam system is a 2nd order system, while the RC filter we are controlling in this lab is a 1st order system. Both of these systems display damped oscillations when presented with step forcing. With the addition of this controller, we create from the first-order filter a more complicated (higher-order) system with a response resembling the 2nd order beam system.
