We discussed… • The amount of excess lunch food scraps. • How to sort the food scraps from the paper, foil and plastics • The need to have more recycle bins for the different waste products. • The feasibility of food waste recycling. • The compost to be used as fertilizer for Year 7’s vegetable and herb garden. Worm Composting • This is a plan for our compost worm farm: This is the design This is our recycling idea  Our compost worm farm fertilizer will be provided for Year 7’s vegetable and herb garden.   5. What we need… • To build our compost worm farm we will need: A polystyrene or wooden boxes donated from our local fruit market.  Worms – bought/donated from a garden nursery  Shredded newspaper – donated  Food scraps – excess lunch food  Soil, leaves and grass clippings

  6. Our Compost Worm Farm: We hope to build our compost worm farm as it is going to benefit our environment and recycle excess waste food product. The fertilizer produced from the compost worm farm can be utilised with The Year 7’s vegetable and herb garden. Images sourced from Google Images
