  1. High Octane Low Carbon Solution for tomorrow… today Premium E30 Blends

  2. What is Octane? • Octane is the resistance to burn under pressure and temperature • Octane = measure of fuel quality (higher number = higher quality) • Controlled explosions in the engine are what give us power • Your vehicle can adjust to various octane levels to prevent engine damage

  3. High Octane= High Performance • Higher cylinder pressure = more compression = greater explosion = more power • Manufacturer recommends minimum octane levels for acceptable performance • Cleaner and more efficient combustion events lead to more horsepower • Low octane can damage your engine

  4. Premium E30 IS a viable option; your car will adapt • Premium E30 is 94 octane • 91 octane is highest pump gas available in most places • Many cars do not require the use of premium fuel but still benefit • Lower octane = lower quality – higher margins for the oil industry • Newer vehicles can take advantage of Premium E30’s high octane

  5. Parts Compatibility • All parts and materials are compatible with ethanol and have been since the early 1990’s • Difference between flex fuel vehicles and standard is computer calibration. Parts are the same. • Corrosion “myth”- your car’s fuel system is sealed from outside air by law • Impossible for moisture to be drawn into your tank.

  6. Check Engine Light and YOUR Vehicle • OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturers) have over 2000 trouble codes that can be triggered by failing engine, trans, and brake systems • Blends up to E30 can’t be the root cause of a check engine light illuminating • Education of Premium E30 has been provided to technicians in the areas blender pumps are available • Service Facility / Technicians should be notified of your fuel when vehicle is taken in for service

  7. 2013 Ford F150 Ecoboost • 3.5L Direct Injected; twin turbo 53,000 miles • Fuel trim data- -3% avg on 87 octane E10 gas • 7-8% avg on 94 octane Premium E30 fuel • No check engine light during test period • Fuel economy and consistent, available horsepower vary greatly; over 50 HP; E30 minimizes the timing swing due to octane availability

  8. Ford F150 ecoboost example

  9. 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi • 4wd • 8 Speed Automatic • 2500 miles • Non-flex fuel

  10. 2015 Dodge Ram 5.7 Hemi • Peak HP Gains- 9 HP and 6 torque • Avg gain of 7 hp and 9 ftlbs across

  11. 2012 Chevrolet Malibu • 2.4 Liter 4 Cylinder • 169 HP

  12. 2012 Chevrolet Malibu • Average gain 4 HP and 5 ftlbs of torque

  13. Long Term Fuel Trim is a correction factor for vehicles to adapt for variations in the fuel

  14. Premium E30 MPG • No change in avg MPG • The quality of Prem E30 offsets the lower quantity of energy • More available horsepower means the ability to do MORE work as needed • Most vehicles in the last 10-15 years are designed with the ability to use higher octane

  15. Dawn Data Logger Testingby HEMdata • 40 random vehicles - cars, trucks, crossovers, SUVs, minivans, hybrids • 3 tanks of each fuel, E10 and E30 each run consecutively • Data loggers used record 17-19 data points every second of engine runtime • Same equipment used by EPA and multiple other test labs

  16. Prequalification • Test included vehicles from 2004-2016 • Engine data verified within normal conditions before installing and no check engine light history stored • Fuel trims had to be in spec, mass air flow sensors cleaned if needed

  17. Data Logger Summary • ZERO documented check engine lights • Real world, actual miles driven results • Average of 2000 miles per vehicle • 100X more intensely tested than EPA testing • Over 80,000 miles tested and 20 million consumer miles driven

  18. OK, I’m sold… How do I do it? • Premium E30 can be utilized any time without any changes • Todays cars can compensate for ANY blend up to 30% • What if I cant find E30? • Many farms already buying E30 in BULK

  19. Premium E30 Study Results Information collected shows - • No Loss in average MPG • Over $250 average annual fuel savings • Zero documented cases of damage claims • No check engine lights triggered • Premium E30 is the best high octane solution to meet the world’s fuel needs
