  1. MOON BY LIAM.M & CODY.$

  2. Moons size Think of the earth as a soccer ball then think of the moon as a golf ball, the moon is only 3,474 km in diameter the earth is 12,742 km in diameter the moon seems pretty puny compared to the earth now

  3. Landforms & craters The moon gets the craters from asteroids that hit it. This happens because the moon has no atmosphere to disintegrate the asteroids unlike Earth. Not having a atmosphere also prevents the moon to have weather, wind, or running water. So there is no weathering or erosion. • The Earth has many land forms caused by wind and running water therefor allowing weathering and erosion.

  4. GRAVITY The EARTH has 6 times the gravity on the moon. • THE MOON HAS 1/6 gravity of the earth

  5. ATMOSPHERE MOONS ATMOSPHERE EARTHS ATMOSPHERE The Earth has five layers of atmosphere the Exosphere, Thermosphere, Mesosphere, Stratosphere, and the Troposphere. • The Moon has no atmosphere so it has no weather. Having no atmosphere makes it prone to asteroids.

  6. WATER MOON EARTH The EARTH is 70 percentmade up of water • Scientists have discovered a partial amount of water

  7. Weathering and Erosion Moon Earth The Earth has things that can cause weathering and erosion. Water and wind are a big causes of weathering and erosion. They cause many different kinds of landforms such as mountains, valleys, lakes, boulders, beaches, and swamps. • The moon has no wind or running water. Therefore there is no erosion or weathering.

  8. TIME TO ROTATE ON AXIS MOON EARTH It takes the earth 24 hours 1 day to rotate on it`s axis • It takes the moon 27 days torotate on it`s axis

  9. ORBIT`S MOON EARTH IT takes the earth 365.25 earth days to orbit the sun • IT takes the moon 29.5 earth days to orbit the earth

  10. THE SEASONS • The earth`s axis is tilted. Consider any globe you`ve seen instead of being straight up and down it`s at a tilt of 23.5 degrees. for six months of the year , the southern hemisphere is pointed toward the sun. Then in a month the northern hemisphere will be facing the sun. when its facing the sun its summer and when its not its winter. Thus creating the seasons.

  11. MYSTERIOUS BLUE MOON BLUE MOON There is no “blue moon” the “blue moon” is just a second full moon in a month and only happens every two and a half years
