Benefits of using rhymes, chants and songs in English teaching • Children love rhythm, music and movement. • Contributes to young children’s social, linguistic and emotional development. • Get children’s attention and keep their interest. • Encourage children to produce language in way that is natural, spontaneous and enjoyable. • Promotes the development of positive attitudes and motivation toward learning a foreign language.
