Aerospace Quality Management System (AQMS) Certification Process Survey

Conducting a one-time follow-up survey to obtain feedback on the ICOP process and the value of certification from the perspective of AQMS certified organizations. The survey will be sent to certified organizations' Oasis administrators using the web-based tool Survey Monkey.

  3. RMC Action Item Log 186 • Develop an electronic survey of certified organizations measuring “Customer Satisfaction” relative to their CB and the ICOP process. Present draft survey during Portland RMC meeting.

  4. Purpose • Intent of the survey is to obtain feedback on the ICOP process and the value of certification from the perspective of AQMS certified organizations.

  5. Scope • This will be a one time follow-up survey to the one RMC performed in 2006. • We will use a web-based survey tool called “Survey Monkey" and plan to just send it to certified organizations’ "Oasis administrators". • Survey Monkey will protect respondent confidentiality.

  17. Concerns/Suggestions: • Many CBs already survey clients after each audit. Receiving another survey around the same time could cause confusion and well impact survey returns. • People in the same organization could have different perspectives on the same subject. • If AAQG tells a CB they have a customer satisfaction problem with a supplier the CB could produce objective evidence that there is not a problem. • How will data be evaluated and used?

  19. Changes Driven by ISO 9001:2008 Caution: Several changes in AS9100 Rev. C were not highlighted in bold, italic text because these changes were previously approved in ISO 9001:2008

  20. Examples of Changes Driven by ISO 9001:2008 Para 8.5.2 – f) reviewing the effectiveness of the corrective action taken. Para 8.5.3 – e) reviewing the effectiveness of the preventive action taken.

  21. Response to Concern that Changes Driven by ISO 9001:2008 are not Highlighted with Bold, Italic Text The following statement in AS9100 Rev. C clause 1.1 acknowledges changes incorporated as a result of ISO 9001:2008 are not highlighted in bold, italic text: “This standard includes ISO 9001:2008 quality management system requirements and specifies additional aviation, space and defense industry requirements, definitions and notes as shown in bold, italic text.”
