  2. KEY PROBLEMS • Inconsistent levels of skill/staff unable to meet the services requirements • Mismatch of skill • Demand and reliance on External Bureau exceeding financial limits

  3. AIM OF THIS PROJECT Improve the quality of the internal bureau and match demand with resources by: • Strategic approach with sustainable change • Sector wide • Invest in the infrastructure

  4. KEY CHANGES IMPLEMENTED • Increased profile of the Bureau –built on infrastructure-”dedicated Bureau manager” • Increased Internal Bureau with focused recruitment • Bureau Nurse Educator-0.4 FTE-increased rate of compliance with competence portfolios for nurses, & merit steps for HSW • Learning and orientation package • Developed a permanent resource team of RN & HCA with roster flexibility • Modified Onestaff rostering to enable better reporting-localised units eg ICU, EC
