  3. Osama Bin Laden & September 11th • Issued war against the U.S in 1996, because of U.S support for Saudi Arabia & Israel. • Al- Qaeda’s war against the U.S consisted of the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on September 11th, 2001 at 9:03 am. • Nearly more than 3,000 people had died. • 2,605 citizens died on ground at the World Trade Center; 125 on ground at the pentagon (the rest on American/United Airlines).

  4. Heightened security prevented other attacks. • Instead, Al-Qaeda turned to targets in other countries, which killed thousands of others. • Al-Qaeda’s use of religion to justify attacks has different view points for Muslims and Americans. -Muslims: express disagreement with U.S policies - Americans: distinguish peace with 1.3 billion Muslims and the misuse and abuse of Islam by a handful of the terrorists. Osama Bin Laden was killed on May 2nd, 2011 by U.S Navy Seal.
