  2. The Author This author was a teacher, a librarian, and a writer. She went in some places like Europe and while she was there it gave her some ideas of her books. She ended writing articles for newspapers and magazines. Her first book was A Paradise Called Texas. It won Texas Bluebonnet Award. She Stills writes in Austin,Texas

  3. Setting The settings are is in the present tense. The settings are France, Pieta(an orphanage in France),and in an canal.

  4. Characters Anna Maria- she had to move because of her father Antonio Vivaldi- Anna’s violin teacher Paolina- she was the mean to Anna Francesco- He always made Anna laugh Sister Lidia- She was Anna’s aunt

  5. Plot In the story Anna’s dad dies so she has to go to France. When she is at France she meets a new friend named Francesco. Then she meets Paolina she was jealous at Anna because she had her own violin and Paolina didn’t. So she threw the violin in an canal. The next mourning Anna found out and was mad at Paolina. So Paolina was punished. While Paolina was being punished Anna was looking for her violin. Than one night she heard her violin. The next day Anna ,her violin teacher, and her aunt went to the royal palace to get her violin. Then when they arrived Anna found her violin but the princess was already playing and her dad bought the violin for her. So she just wanted to play it one last time so they let her. Then the princess decided to give the violin back to Anna than when they got back Paolina said she was sorry but she wished she was

  6. Conflict/Resolution Anna vs. herself She had to face many problems and even somebody who doesn’t like her and that’s a problem to her. Anna vs. Paolina Paolina is a girl who is jealous at Anna because she has her own violin and has a real name and Paolina thought the violin teacher would like Anna more than Paolina The Resolution The resolution is that Anna changes her life by being nice to everybody even Paolina.

  7. Theme The main theme of the story is don’t be afraid to do anything, Always believe in yourself, and always be nice to people even when there mean to you than maybe they will be nice back. That’s the main theme of the story.

  8. Personal Book Review I like Anna Maria’s Gift because taught how you should treat people no matter how people treat you. The book makes you learn lots of lessons that makes you think about life and how you should act to people. This book has a lot of excitement. This book is really interesting because the book teaches you some French words that is interesting and cool. This book is really amazing. I would recommend this book to a friend because its really cool. I would also recommend this book to 3rd to 6th graders Thank you for seeing this project hope you enjoyed it.
