  2. 1 Tim. 4:12b- Be an example to all believers in what you teach, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. Vs. 15- Give your complete attention to these matters. The faith of David- Inner Man Jesus satisfies me. Logically. Emotionally. Spiritually. I’ve never found a better belief system; I’ve never found a better friend.

  3. In the center of Holiness… Or on the edge of sin… HOLINESS HOLINESS 1Pe 1:15 But now you must be holy in everything you do, Jas 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. (KJV) SIN

  4. In the center of Holiness… Run from the edge of sin. So the next morning David wrote a letter to Joab and gave it to Uriah to deliver. The letter instructed Joab, "Station Uriah on the front lines where the battle is fiercest. Then pull back so that he will be killed." So Joab assigned Uriah to a spot close to the city wall where he knew the enemy’s strongest men were fighting. HOLINESS SIN

  5. David’s Life- satan’s 30 yr plan David’s Life: Training- Youth. Triumph: 17 yrs as King- never lost a battle- Grows Kingdom Satan’s 30 yr. Plan: Plan “A”- polygamy leads to growing lust-Started in his 20s Plan “B”- Enjoy Success. 30- King= power, women- harem Plan “C”- Let the Battle look easy- David go. At about 50- Plan “D”- Encourage Bathsheba to be IGNORANT or EVIL Plan “E”- stimulate David’s polygamist lust into action Plan “F”- Let David’s pride-fear take over- hide sin Plan “G”- David’s scheme- deceive Uriah/everyone Plan “H”- 1ST degree murder= abandon your friend to death from now on… TROUBLE

  6. In the center of Holiness… Run from the edge of sin. Vs. 17-22 And Uriah was killed along with several other Israelite soldiers. Then Joab sent a battle report to David. He told his messenger, "Report all the news of the battle to the king. But he might get angry and ask, ‘Why did the troops go so close to the city? Didn’t they know there would be shooting from the walls? Wasn’t Gideon’s son Abimelech killed at Thebez by a woman who threw a millstone down on him?’ Then tell him, ‘Uriah the Hittite was killed, too.’" So the messenger went to Jerusalem and gave a complete report to David. HOLINESS SIN

  7. In the center of Holiness… Run from the edge of sin. Vs. 23-26 "The enemy came out against us," he said. "And as we chased them back to the city gates, the archers on the wall shot arrows at us. Some of our men were killed, including Uriah the Hittite." "Well, tell Joab not to be discouraged," David said. "The sword kills one as well as another! Fight harder next time, and conquer the city!" When Bathsheba heard that her husband was dead, she mourned for him. HOLINESS SIN

  8. In the center of Holiness… Run from the edge of sin. Vs. 27 When the period of mourning was over, David sent for her and brought her to the palace, and she became one of his wives. Then she gave birth to a son. But the LORD was very displeased with what David had done. HOLINESS SIN

  9. Living in sin… How does THAT feel? Pr 13:15 A person with good sense is respected; a treacherous person walks a rocky road. “THE WAY OF TRANGRESSORS IS HARD” (KJV) HOLINESS SIN

  10. Envying those living in sin fills your HEART WITH BITTERNESS… and is ignorant…? (shortsighted) 17 Then one day I went into your sanctuary, O God, and I thought about the destiny of the wicked. 1. They are on a slippery path, sliding over the cliff to destruction. 2. In an instant they are destroyed, swept away by terrors. 3. O Lord, you will make them vanish from this life. Then I realized how bitter I had become, how pained I had been by all I had seen.

  11. The satisfaction of sin is very short the COST of sin is long… The COST of righteousness is short The satisfaction of righteousness is ETERNAL 4. I belong to you; you hold my right hand. 5. You will keep on guiding me counseling, leading to a glorious destiny. 6. I have You in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth. 7. God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever. But as for me, how good it is to be near God! My Shelter! I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do.

  12. The satisfaction of sin is very short the COST of sin is long… The COST of righteousness is short The satisfaction of righteousness is ETERNAL Rom. 2:15- They demonstrate that God's law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing right.

  13. The story of the ETERNAL COST of sin… Ps 6:1-7 O LORD, don't rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your rage. Have compassion on me, LORD, for I am weak. Heal me, LORD, for my bones are in agony. I am sick at heart. How long, O LORD, until you restore me? Return, O LORD, and rescue me. Save me because of your unfailing love. I am worn out from sobbing. All night I flood my bed with weeping. Drenching it ith my tears. For the dead do not remember you. Who can praise you from the grave? I am worn out from sobbing. All night I flood my bed with weeping, drenching it with my tears. My vision is blurred by grief; my eyes are worn out because of all my enemies.
