  1. THERAPEUTIC RADIOGRAPHY 2014/15 pan-London planned commissioning position: maintain commissions at 82 Planning for this profession is led by Health Education North Central and East London for the whole of London. Existing and raised issues Demand for this group of staff is expected to increase as activity increases through service expansion, for example a proton centre due to open in 2018 and 6 new satellite units. Rationale for decision At present an undersupply is forecast , however, a number of challenges have been identified for this group of staff such as high attrition rates and low uptake. A programme of work to address these points has been implemented. It is expected that this will result in increased outputs and thereby help to mitigate the current projected undersupply. Please note: only 77 of the 82 agreed commissions in 2013/14 were filled • London workforce data 2013 A 30.4% undersupply is predicted in 2018/19.
