  3. IdentificationAdults weigh between 300 to 400 pounds. Adults are 3.5 to 4 feet long. The body is nearly oval. The colors are dirty white, white or yellowish. Hatchlings are dark brown or black with white underneath.

  4. FoodAdults eat sea grass and algae. Young green turtles eat worms, crustaceans, and aquatic insects.

  5. Threats The greatest threat is buying and selling of eggs. Other turtle parts are stuffed.

  6. Reproduction Females nest atintervals of 2, 3 or more years before nesting again. It takes 60 days until they hatch.
