  4. Proposed Changes toRezone and PAD Process: Pre Application Meeting PAD Application Changes Concurrent Approval Process: PADs and Plats

  5. Pre Application Meeting Issue: • Currently require Concept Reviews • Con Rev covers gamut from ready to submit to people with ideas • Only basic information required for Con Rev

  6. Pre Application Meeting Solution: • Keep Concept Review • Not required • Limited scope • Less cost for people who are fishing • Charge 40% less than proposed Con Rev fee: ~ $300 • Add Pre Application Meeting • Require before submitting application • Require most of the meat of the application • Allows real staff review before application • Saves Applicant time • Same cost as proposed Con Rev fee: ~$490

  7. PAD Application Changes Issue: • Whole PAD book is part of the approval • Important aspects sometime buried in books • Buried aspects sometimes used by applicants • Requires word-by-word reading by legal and planning staff • Large amount of staff time

  8. PAD Application Changes Solution: • Divide PAD Applications • Required Documents • Background Documents • Required Documents • Specific list • Approval based on this information • Background Documents • Informational only • Will not become part of the approval

  9. These changes, combined with changes already in place: • Using GIS to create mailing labels • Post card mailouts • Amendments to Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Code reduces number of stips Will allow us to review cases in a shorter time
