  1. Senior English 10/7/13 • What are the positives and negatives about reading articles and exchanging ideas online with French students? How do you feel about the project? • Does England have a fourth of July? • Epizootic – describing a disease that is widespread in animals, as opposed to epidemics, which are human. Goals – Discuss the new project. Check the site. Get enrollment started. Homework – Get enrolled on the Wiki tonight. Points will be assigned. Don’t forget to begin study for vocab. 6 quiz on Friday.

If not an article, what do you find most convincing? • What did the lawyer name her daughter? • Labtebricole – living in holes. Goals – Form groups. Resolve issues. Review Toulmin’s model. Use it to evaluate the articles. Begin analysis. If you have joined the site you may blog Homework – Get an informal blog completed and posted on the wiki.

Goals – Check Dailies. Finalize sign ups. Collect permission forms. Read articles. Write your responses in a word document. Copy and paste into the wiki. Homework – Read the reactions of the French students and blog your own reactions to the article.

Overly aggressive. Goals – Change seating. Discuss reasons goals for evaluating the credibility of information sources. Homework – Find and print an article about a topic that interests you.

  5. Senior English 10/11/13 • Five minutes to review for the vocabulary quiz #6. • Two flies are on a porch: which one is the actor? • Nacicornous – having a horn on the nose. Goals – Complete Vocab. Quiz #6. Discuss first level of evaluation based upon Toulmin’s Model. Homework – Find and print an article about the same topic that you chose last night but takes a different perspective.
