  4. Background of Woodside Veterinary Hospital • Acquired by Dr. LeVan in Summer of 1995 • Owner: Louis V. LeVan, DVM & Melissa LeVan • Just built new hospital location in 2001

  5. Mission of Woodside Veterinary Hospital • Provide premium health care for all species of animals. Generally dogs, cats, horses, sheep, hogs and cattle

  6. Company Size • Serve over 200 different Clients • Hospital located on over 4 acre plot outside of Marysville • 2 Full-time Practicing Veterinarians • 8 Full-time Employees • 5 Part-time Employees

  7. Typical Day Worked on every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday From June 22 till September 8, 2004 Farm Calls in the mornings to early afternoons Office Calls performed in the evenings

  8. Typical Duties • Stock Truck • Run blood tests • Assist in handling animals

  9. Typical Duties • Assist in taking X-rays • Retrieve medications for patients

  10. Typical Duties • Check inventory for drugs in the clinic

  11. Typical Duties • Check inventory and supplies in the trucks used for farm calls • Resupply as necessary

  12. Typical Duties • Assist in surgical procedures • Prep patients for surgery

  13. Special Tasks • Assist in evaluations of patients in the large animal ward

  14. Special Tasks • Check patients in the large animal ward. • Keep up conditions in large animal ward

  16. Enjoyed the Most: Going out on farm calls and observing Dr. LeVan during surgical proceedures. • Enjoyed the Least: The long drives to some locations.
