  2. What is your first instinct when you get stuck? You like to pray and you believe in it, but you do not have the time t t t It feels like an obligation You worry about an issue before you pray about it

  3. What is your first instinct when you get stuck? Where would you like that number to be? What would happen if every single person gave themselves to personally build in their lives a consistent prayer life?

  4. Exodus 17.8-16 8 The Amalekites came and attacked the Israelites at Rephidim. 9 Moses said to Joshua, “Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands.” 10So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron

  8. Becoming a Person of Prayer 1 You need to recognize your utter dependence on the power of God that happens through prayer • God’s power happens through those who pray • Prayer is hard work • Through Moses’ prayers, God’s power was being extended to the Israelites in battle

  10. Becoming a Person of Prayer 2 You must intentionally devote time to prayer • at times we believe, “I’m too busy to pray” • do not be obsessed with productivity — our greatest challenge is that we let our world set our agenda • we need to set our agenda on the Kingdom

Moses went up a hill and looked over the people • some people get a prayer list • what kind of creative things can help you be more prayerful? • pray quickly for each other — if someone asks you, have them write it down

  12. Becoming a Person of Prayer 4 You must know that prayer is a team deal • if two or more agree in prayer, God will answer you • the true meaning of friendship —can you pray together? • we are all called to pray without ceasing — so pray together
