  2. Orbitz for Agents > Getting Started Orbitz for Agents enables you to leverage Orbitz Worldwide’s inventory to service your customers - - all while earning commissions and generating new revenue. Agents own their customers and their customers’ information. Orbitz will not use customer information for marketing or solicitation purposes.

  3. Orbitz for Agents > Getting Started In the top-right corner of every page these icons can be found. On each page there are FAQs specific to that page. You can access these, along with all of our FAQs, by clicking here. Contact Orbitz Access your profile page by clicking here.

  4. Orbitz for Agents > Getting Started Click on “Update” to access your company profile and update your contact information. You can also click on “Company Profile” (highlighted in red)

  5. Orbitz for Agents > Getting Started > Company Profile On all customer itineraries your agency and customer service number will appear. The customer would not know that Orbitz was involved in the booking, as these are your customers. Marketing copy that appears on customer itinerary emails.

  6. Orbitz for Agents > Getting Started Click on “Update” to set your defaults for commissions, fees, and travel insurance

  7. Orbitz for Agents > Getting Started > Company Settings You earn a commission on every itinerary you sell. You can generate additional revenue by adding a mark-up (not visible to the customer) or service fee (visible to the customer) to each itinerary. With this screen you can set the default maximums. Travel insurance is a valuable service for travelers and a means of increasing your commissions.

  8. Orbitz for Agents > Making a Booking Orbitz for Agents enables you to book vacation packages and stand-alone hotel reservations. We’re evaluating whether to launch stand-alone air, stand-alone car, and cruises. To start a new booking, click on “New Search”

  9. Orbitz for Agents > Making a Booking The prices generated by the system include all applicable hotel, car, and air taxes and surcharges. The system does not presently support open-jaw or multi-city itineraries. The various drop-down boxes allow you to select a variety of search parameters. By holding the CTRL key and then clicking on desired choices you can highlight more than one choice.

  10. Orbitz for Agents > Making a Booking Click-on “Reservation Price” to see the commission you’re earning, add a mark-up (not visible to the customer), add a service fee (visible to the customer). You retain 100% of any mark-up or service charge you add. Protect your customer and earn additional commissions by adding travel insurance. Add a service charge (visible to the customer), as a means of generating revenue.

  11. Orbitz for Agents > Making a Booking > Agency Commission The base commission you’re earning from the sale of the itinerary. The mark-up you added to the itinerary (not visible to the customer). The service fee you added to the itinerary (visible to the customer). The commission you’re earning from the travel insurance you added to the itinerary. Any override/mark-up or travel insurance/trip protection charges that you add will increase the overall price of the itinerary. Here the Reservation Price reflects the addition of each of the Pricing Components to the itinerary.

  12. Orbitz for Agents > Making a Booking > Agency Commission

  13. Orbitz for Agents > Making a Booking Note that any service charge you assess would be separately itemized, along with travel insurance. The system enables you to input your client’s frequent flier information for a variety of programs. The system supports a variety of payment options; however, coupons or promo codes are not presently supported. U.S. and non-U.S. issued major credit cards, such as those listed in the drop-down identified here, can be used. However, a bank/debit card from a non-U.S. bank cannot. page 12

  14. Orbitz for Agents > Making a Booking > eMail Confirmation Note that any service charge you assess would be separately itemized, along with travel insurance. Follow-up by the customer, would be to your customer service number.

  15. Orbitz for Agents > Making a Booking > Prior Reservations Use this functionality to find reservations you booked earlier – whether it is to review the details or modify/cancel the reservation.

  16. Orbitz for Agents > Making a Booking > Prior Reservations Clicking-here allows you to review the reservation’s details, as well as make changes.

  17. Orbitz for Agents > Making a Booking > Prior Reservations You can cancel hotel reservations by clicking on this button. However, in order to cancel a vacation package you need to call Orbitz (1-877-250-6642). Further, with these details Orbitz can help you when you call our hotline. Our hotline is our private label call center and not the main Orbitz customer service line. These are your customers. Orbitz will not contact them. We’re here to help you with questions that you might have. You can print or email the itinerary details to your client.

  18. Orbitz for Agents > Manage Your Business Generate a report of your total sales during a particular date range

  19. Orbitz for Agents > Travel Agency Reports > Sales Report To generate a report for sales during the previous month, set the “From Date” to 2/1/2010 and the “To” date to 2/28/10. The resulting report will only cover Feb. sales. February 28 You can select one of two types of reports. The “Details” report allows you to view each of the reservations. This report is helpful, as you can compare the sold itineraries with those in the “Commissions Report” where you’ve earned the commissions.

  20. Orbitz for Agents > Travel Agency Reports > Sales Report > Details This report details each of the itineraries sold during the time period you searched. If you click-on one of the itineraries (Conf. numbers beginning with “NG”), you can see all of the details associated with that itinerary. To reconcile your commissions, you can use this report and compare it to the “Commissions Report” (later slide) for the same time period. Remember, you’re paid commissions at different times, as was shown in the earlier slide. For example, a hotel reservation made in Feb. for a stay in March would result in you getting paid in April. This is because hotel reservations are paid when consumed - - in this case the reservation was consumed when the guest arrived in March.

  21. Orbitz for Agents > Travel Agency Reports > Sales Report > Details If you click-on one of the itineraries, you can see an overview of that itinerary (box to the left).

  22. Orbitz for Agents > Manage Your Business Generate a report of the commissions you’ve earned from your sales. Remember: you only earn commissions according to the percentages and timelines in the earlier slide. (E.G. you earn a commission on a hotel when the guest checks-in.)

  23. Orbitz for Agents > Manage Your Business > Commissions Report This report allows you to search to see what commissions you’ve earned on the itineraries you’ve sold. Remember, that you earn a commission according to the earlier chart (e.g. a hotel itinerary earns commission when the guest checks-in).

  24. Orbitz for Agents > Manage Your Business > Commissions Report For those reservations that are consumed, you’re paid commissions the following month. E.G. reservation made in Feb. for hotel reservation in March. Once the guest checks-in in March, your commissions check for March will reflect the commission from this itinerary.
