Transition Process for Health Promotion Programs • Fall 2009 • EXW and NTR freshmen enrolled and housed on downtown ASU campus – limited course offerings • Spring 2010 • Health Sciences programs initiated; limited number of courses offered on Polytechnic and Downtown ASU campuses • Fall 2010 • EXW and NTR freshmen and sophomores enrolled and housed on downtown ASU campus – expanded number of courses • Spring 2011 • NTR Instructional Foods Laboratory completed • Fall 2011 • All NTR, EXW, HSC faculty, classrooms, laboratories relocated to Downtown

  10. Brand New Initiative • Formal Partnership with the Food and Drug Administration to develop a new master’s program in regulatory science to begin August of 2010 – will include fully supported slots for up to 10 Public Health Service positions. Registered Dietitians are eligible!!

  11. Healthy Arizona 2020 • To improve physical and mental health outcomes across the lifespan for the people of Arizona through culturally responsive, evidence-based healthcare and health promotion services, community engagement, and top notch public educational programs.

Healthy Arizona 2020Key Strategic Initiatives • Monthly health lecture series for the public that is disseminated throughout the state • Evidence-based health news bulletin and radio spot • An annual healthy lifestyles conference • Web site to serve as a resource for Arizonians • Campus garden Our collaborative partnerships are key to improving the health of Arizonians!
