  8. Did you think ahead? • installed GWAPP • cleaned-up data BEFORE migrating to Banner • systematically eliminate all evidence of duplicates as they appear in the system

What we did & are doing • during 2009, identified possible duplicates in system and decided each one’s fate • continue to run weekly reports on possible duplicates which functional users address and determine fate Information from 2009 and weekly reports to be used to delete records from the system once GWAPP is available • Common Matching workshop for users • enhanced common matching on application imports New duplicates greatly reduced; most caught early
