  9. Attendance • Prompt, present, and ready to learn everyday. • Absences (lawful vs. unlawful) • Make-up work

  12. Homework • Your child will receive homework every night, including weekends. • They will copy their homework in their agenda books and will be expected to return this signed the next day. • Study Island • Projects

  13. Weekly Newsletter • Every Friday a newsletter will be posted on the Allenwood website. http://www1.pgcps.org/allenwood • The newsletter will include what was accomplished that week and what skills will be addressed the following week.

  16. Dress • Your child is expected to be in their uniform everyday. • White collar shirts • Navy blue pants or shorts (boys) • Navy blue pants, jumpers or skorts (girls) • NO accessories (large earrings, belts, colored socks, etc). • Shoes should be black or white.

  17. Volunteers • We encourage every parent to get involved in their child’s class throughout the school year. • Chaperoning, classroom assistants, special activities. • At home – working with your child on homework assignments. • Share your expertise with the class • Join the PTA

  18. Parent Responsibilities • Ensure your child completes their homework • Sign behavior calendar/agenda daily • Check the Allenwood website several times a week for updates, weekly newsletters. http://www1.pgcps.org/allenwood • Ensure your child completes all Study Island assignments

  19. Conferences • There will be at least one scheduled conference throughout the year. • If you want to request a conference, notify your child’s teacher.

  20. Safety • If you are to visit Allenwood, you must first stop by the office, sign in, and get a visitor's badge. • If there is a change in your child’s dismissal, please notify us in writing.

  21. Toys / Money • Do not allow your child to bring anything of value to school. This includes electronics, games, money, etc.
