  2. 2014 Town Bond Street & Sidewalk Improvements $6.3M Greenway Improvements $4.6M Parks and Recreation Facilities $14.2M $25.1

  3. Stadium Drive – Complete Streets (U-5515) US1 (Capital Boulevard) to N. Main Street Pedestrian & Bicycle Improvements 1.6 miles 10’MUP; 5’sidewalk; Sharrows; Bus pull-out; and Roundabout Design, ROW, and Construction is funded with 80 LAPP/20 Town Bond Construction began March 2018 and lasts for 18 months

  4. Ligon Mill Road Operational Improvements (U-5118BA) S Main Street (US 1A) to Wal-Mart Driveway Pedestrian & Bicycle Improvements 4-lane median divided with sidewalks on both sides of roadway and bike lanes; Install a pedestrian signal at S. Main/Ligon Mill Rd. intersection; Street lights; Utility relocation; and Restriping for right turn lane near BP gas station. Design/ROW funded by Town. Construction is funded with 80 LAPP/20 Town Bond and is anticipated to begin during Summer 2018.

  5. Priority Pedestrian Corridors (EL-5100AD) W. Oak Avenue: Harris Road to N. Wingate St. Wait Avenue: North Allen Road to Traditions Grande Blvd. Pedestrian & Bicycle Improvements Sidewalk and multi-use path facilities 2900 LF (0.55 mi) S/W on Oak Ave 2400 LF (0.45 mi) S/W on Wait Ave Install a pedestrian signal at S. Allen Road/Wait Avenue intersection. Design, ROW, and Construction is funded with 80 LAPP/20 Town Bond Construction is expected to begin in May 2018

  6. Ligon Mill Road Bridge Replacement Project (B-5318) NCDOT cost share for Muti-use path and greenway underpass for Smith Creek Phase 2, trailhead at old alignment

  8. Smith Creek Greenway, Phase 2 from Smith & Sanford Creek Greenway junction to Burlington Mills Rd (2.8 miles) Funded by Town Bond and grants Design underway. Construction anticipated to begin in 2020. ROW & CON splits project into two phases: • Smith & Sanford Greenway to Ligon Mill Rd • Ligon Mill Rd to Burlington Mills Rd

  9. Greenway and Park Wayfinding Phase 1 • Smith Creek Greenway at Burlington Mills segment •Dunn Creek Greenway •Smith Creek Soccer Center Greenway •Sanford Creek Greenway •E. Carroll Joyner Park •J.B. Flaherty Park Funded by Town Bond. Phase 1 Construction underway. Anticipated completion summer 2018.

  10. Smith, Sanford and Dunn Creek Greenway 2.7 miles of greenway 1.25 miles of sidewalk Design, ROW, and Construction is funded with 80 LAPP/20 Town Bond. Grand Opening Celebration – September 30, 2017
